5. Operate the valve (open/close) once every 3 months during extended storage.
2.1 Pre-Installation Checks
1. Check the valve for damage, rust, or debris.
2. Ensure the flow direction arrow matches the intended pipeline flow.
3. Clean pipeline of foreign materials before valve installation.
2.2 Installation Guidelines
1.Install valve horizontally or vertically, depending on design.
2. Ensure sufficient clearance for inspection and maintenance.
3. Use gaskets and torque bolts evenly to prevent flange distortion.
4. Do not overtighten — follow manufacturer’s torque specs.
5. If valve has an external spring, avoid compressing it during installation.
1. Check for leaks, abnormal noises, or vibrations monthly.
2. Clean internal parts and inspect seating surfaces every 6–12 months depending on operating conditions.
3. Replace worn-out seals, gaskets, and springs as needed.
4. Lubricate moving parts if applicable.
5. During shutdown maintenance:
a. Fully isolate the valve from line pressure.
b. Drain the system and depressurize.
